As a solo traveler, I loved the friendly hosts, Aymara and Luis, who were always there to help with anything I needed. the welcome coconut drink was a nice touch. the clean rooms and free use of the kitchen with a gas cooker, fridge, coffee machine, and juice maker were great. the good WiFi and the presence of two dogs and two cats added to the cozy atmosphere. the location near the beach and surrounded by coconut palm trees was beautiful, with hammocks provided for relaxation. the ever-changing weather and the local feel of Tortuguero made my stay even more enjoyable. the owners made sure my travel arrangements were taken care of when I left.

We had a great location for exploring the area, being just a short walk from both the beach and the river. Our room, although small, had semi-comfortable beds. the WiFi worked well and we enjoyed lounging in the comfy hammocks. the staff were friendly and helpful, offering tips on local attractions.

Additionally, the kitchen was well-stocked with essential items like oil, sugar, salt, and pots and pans.

The room did get a bit warm even with the ventilator on. Another minor inconvenience was the small shower space, which didn't have enough room to put my things.

I recently stayed at Meryscar in Tortuguero and couldn't have been happier. Patricia, the host, was incredibly welcoming and the owners were always accessible and helpful. The location is ideal, with easy access to the town and the National Park. The front patio with its lovely garden and proximity to the beach added to the charm. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the WiFi worked well. a great experience!
